Buck-A-Book Sale

Chicklet Books is holding its 4th Annual BUCK-A-BOOK SALE!!

This sale is our most well attended event of the year. Hmmm... I wonder why? Any way... this is the perfect time to stock up on winter reading. Grab a new author, or an older title by a beloved author. What have you got to lose for a buck?

Every January we scavange our shelves in the stores, warehouse, basement, Deb's car... attic... under the desk... Anywhere we can find books... and put them up for sale during this event. It's a GREAT New Year's cleaning event for us. Out with the old, in with the new. However... not EVERY BOOK is on sale... only the ones in the secret, special room.

The sale starts on January 10th... except for those of you smart enough to subscribe to our newsletter, this blog, or check out our website. For you special people the sale begins on Jan 8th... shhhh... A 2 day head start to grab all the GOOD books!

No matter who you are, the sale ends January 18th. By then we will be out of books and I will be tired. The hours are Mon thru Sat 10 to 6 and on Sundays 11 to 4.

If you hold on to your book when you are finished... you can SWAP it for another during our SEMI-ANNUAL BOOK SWAP to benefit the Carrier Clinic Teen Libraries.

I tell you... there is never a dull moment around here. While I'm typing this blog we have an AWESOME YOGA class going on in the EVENT ROOM. Why don't you join us? Every Tuesday morning at 8:15am.

Book Rentals!!!!

OK all you people on a budget. It's time to wake up and pay attention. Chicklet Books is reviving it's BOOK RENTAL program. Yes, you read that right... BOOK RENTAL PROGRAM!

Years ago we invented this program, and ran it in our Hillsborough store... with great success. Due to the down turn in the economy we thought it would be the PERFECT time to bring it back... this time in our Princeton store. Once settled in we will expand it to our Millstone store.

It works like this: First you need to set up a membership with us. You know... all the mumbo-jumbo where we make you sign your life away... promise us your first born (or largest diamond) if you don't return our precious book to us. We will then give you a very cute and extremely PINK membership card. 

You can decide on one of 2 yearly options... the pay as you go plan where it costs $6 a week to keep the book as long as it takes to read it, or the Monthly plan for you fast readers  where $19.95 a month allows you to take out one book at a time, but as many as you want for the month. 

To save you time, money and gas we have a nifty website to go to and browse our books so you can decide which your next read will be. Feel free to call us and we will cheerfully hold the book for 24 hours.
